Healthshare Community Guidelines

We want to keep our community a comfortable and enjoyable place for everyone, so we've put together a list of guidelines that you must follow every time you participate in the Healthshare website community. These Community Guidelines apply in addition to the Healthshare Terms of Service. Please note that we reserve the right to lock, delete, move, edit or change any post, thread, image or information. We may also, in our absolute discretion, suspend, delete or cancel a membership and any associated accounts.

1. Be nice

Everyone is entitled to hold differing opinions! If you disagree with another member, state your disagreement and reasons for it without personal attacks. Think before you type and respect all other members.

And remember to turn off CAPS LOCK when typing – it can seem like you are YELLING!

2. Advice

You must not post financial, legal, medical, health or other professional advice that may result in detriment to members or users of the site. Do not discourage other users of the site from seeking their own advice. To the contrary, you must seek your own medical and health professional advice and not rely on postings on the site for any diagnosis, treatment or medical advice as a substitute for seeing your GP or other health care provider.

3. Protect yourself

Don't give out details like your address to other members and don't ask other members for their personal information. Don't agree to meet someone from the community unless it's at an official event.

4. Do not promote specific products or businesses

You can talk about treatment approaches that work for you but Healthshare is not the place to promote or advertise specific products or businesses, whether your own or those of others.

5. Defamation

We will remove any postings which may be defamatory. A defamatory statement or comment is anything which has the effect of damaging or reducing someone’s (who is identifiable in the posting) reputation or standing. You must not engage in any conduct which is, or may be, defamatory.

6. Compliance with laws

Your participation on the site must at all times comply with all applicable or relevant laws. Refer to paragraph 12 of the
Healthshare Terms of Service.
