    Breast reduction surgery is not recommended if you suffer from substantial or significant medical comorbidities such as heart disease, lung disease, morbid obesity, poorly controlled diabetes, advanced age or other medical conditions that increase the risk of complications during a general anaesthetic or impair wound healing. You will not be offered surgery if you are an active smoker. Smokers have and increased risk of wound healing complications and post-operative infection 5 times greater than non-smokers.
