    No, it is never too late. While we prefer that you start a few weeks before you fall pregnant please commence folate supplements as soon as you find out you are pregnant.

    There are some situations where you will need a much higher dose of folate such as if you are on anti-epileptic medications. Speak to us or your GP early.
