Bariatric (Obesity) Surgeon, General Surgeon, Laparoscopic Surgeon, Upper GI Surgeon (Abdominal)
You will need to stop eating and drinking the night before surgery. The surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and usually takes about 1 hour.
The surgeon will make several small incisions in your abdomen to allow the insertion of a camera and operating instruments. A stapling device is used to cut and seal your stomach. The excess stomach will be removed.
