    Seizures and migraine often do have similar factors that can set them off. Common factors that can trigger seizures are sleep deprivation, stress, medications and alcohol, illness, hormones and flashing lights. Many people with migraine (independent of epilepsy) report similar factors that trigger their migraines.

    If you find your migraine always happens before or after a seizure, then maybe it is the seizure that is triggering it. Migraine is often associated with seizures and quite common in people with epilepsy. The migraine typically happens either before or after a seizure and are usually related to the seizure.
