My daughter's repeat prescriptions have run out 6 months short of her next paediatric neurologist appointment. She is 21 years old and has had an annual prescription since she was 14 years old.
She has been emailing and calling for the last 4 weeks and had to see our local GP for a month's prescription. She has two weeks left of her medication and still cannot get an answer from the neurologist, she normally gets a year's prescription.
What can we do to get this process sped up, she has to drive to work every weekday and has to continue her medication.
Is this an ethical practice for a specialist? Have the Australian rules changed and she's been misinformed?
Any guidance or advice would be appreciated greatly.
I have nasal polyposis and am awaiting surgery. I have the constant blockage, no sense of smell or taste, regular headaches that are barely relieved with irrigation.
