Good evening. I started the first radiofrequency ablation (RFA) program for thyroid nodules in Melbourne, Australia in 2021. This is the only RFA program currently running in Australia. I am unsure where you are located however many patients fly in from interstate for the procedure so not living in Melbourne does not mean you cannot have this treatment (lockdowns permitting!).

Thyroid radiofrequency ablation is a mainstream treamtent option for benign thyroid nodules in the US, Europe and Asia. I started performing RFA in 2019 in New York,  where I worked at Mount Sinai as a thyroid / head and neck surgeon between 2010-2021. I recently relocated back to Australia for family reasons and am  very pleased to have been able to introduce RFA into Australia.

Please email me at catherine@melbournethyroidsurgery.com.au for more details.

    Warm regards,

    A/Prof Catherine Sinclair
