    Colon cancer

My mum was diagnosed with colon cancer a few weeks ago. They want to operate on her, however, she has lung fibrosis and heart problems. We are waiting for a test from a heart specialist before he gives us the all-clear. My question is should they do a PET scan before even considering operations. They decided on surgery straight after a colonoscopy.

They have sent her to only do a CT scan. I know one person who has done this scan and one other person has had a PET scan and a CT scan after the colonoscopy.
