It sounds like you are caught in a difficult trap - if you believe that nothing will help much, then you will not be motivated to seek further help. Unfortunately getting the right help usually requires some 'trial and error' - finding the right psychologist or counsellor who is a good fit for you, and/or medical treatment. Perhaps you can start with one small step - promising yourself you will try just one new thing each week, to see if it may help. It may be a strategy a professional has suggested, following up a referral for treatment, or simply experimenting with different ways of improving the day. If going for a walk keeps your mind free to worry, perhaps try something that demands your full attention and focus. If you keep trying, you may just find the strategy, or combination of strategies, that is just right for you, and may make a difference. All the best.
