Will retainers after braces help fix the gap?

The retainers are made from the impression taken straight after the braces come off (assuming there was no space when the impressions were taken), if it fits well enough when you get it, the space may close. Really depends on how much space has opened up. If concerned please discuss this with your orthodontist or dentist. It's usually easily fixed.
