What causes gastritis?
I have been getting abdominal and chest pain. Recently had endoscopy which said I have gastritis and patulous OGJ. Wondering what causes this and treatment options. Have had gastritis in past so stopped, but it's back again. Currently tried reflux medication but not working. -

Interesting question. What you are describing are two separate things. Abdominal and chest pains are symptoms that you feel. Gastritis is a finding on endoscopy or histopathology. Gastritis means inflammation of the stomach lining. This may be due to acid, medications, alcohol, etc. The pain may or may not be related to gastritis. If you have ongoing concerns, I would suggest you see your GP or specialist.
