    Hi,

Hard to give an answer without all the information - but the short answer would be: you should see a gynaecologist for a colposcopy. If you have already seen a gynaecologist, then you should probably get a second opinion as it seems you are still unclear what is going on.

From the information you have given, it sounds like a Nabothian cyst - where a gland on the cervix has become blocked. They are very common, are usually small but can be very large, and are completely benign. If it is a Nabothian cyst, nothing needs to be done.

Of course, there are also many other causes of lumps on or in the cervix including cancer, other cysts, polyps, warts, fibroid etc. The only real way of finding out would be to see a gynaecologist for a colposcopy and possibly a biopsy.

Keep in mind that pap smears are not designed to detect cancer - only precancerous changes. So even a negative pap smear does not rule out cancer. This is why those with normal pap smears but an unusual looking cervix, abnormal bleeding, abnormal discharge or any unusual complaint should see a gynaecologist for a check.
