    Why am I getting night-time headaches?

    I've had night-time headaches for about 4 years and they're becoming more frequent.

    I've tried alternative therapies and would like to find a solution.

    There are many reasons for headaches.

    Often those that come on in the evening may relate to postural strain, stress or dehydration. 
    In saying that, they can also be caused by allergy, eye strain or many other causes. 

    If you have found that conservative care such as Chiro, Physio or Acupuncture has had no effect, I would chat to your GP about further testing.

    Hypoglycaemia may well be  a cause for headaches that start after midnight or if you simply notice that you wake up in the morning with a headache. Make sure you dont have any sugary or high carb snacks before  bed. Try a handfull of walnuts/macadamia nuts as a mid evening or before bed snack. this will help keep your blood sugar in a normal range for longer.
