Dietitian
Easy Diet Dairy is available for iPhones and iPads, you can set your goal weight and monitor your food and exercise through the app. You can see how much fat, carbohydrates, sugar and sodium you consume. It also works very well with packaged food as it has a barcode scanning function. If you work with a dietitian, you can send your food diary to your dietitian. If your dietitian has the software Foodworks, your food diary will turn into a detailed analysis showing if you are meeting your recommended daily requirment for all other vitamins and minerals.
Another popular one is MyFitnessPal.

Hi,
There are several apps out there with the abillity to help you with your weight goal.
There are dietary trackers, workout creators, ways to monitor your workout, applications that give you daily fitness challenges etc. It depends on what you find is relevant to your needs and is user friendly. I would agree with Sarah on ‘My Fitness Pal’ - it is quite comprehensive, has several functions and is free.
If you do walking or bike riding etc I also would recommend one like ‘sports tracker’ to track your location, distance and time of your cardio workout.
Ther are a few others here:
