What would be the recommended method of birth control in a young woman that has not had children but has had an ileocaecal resection?
I understand that in this case oral contraceptives would be contraindicated so do the same potential issues of hormonal based contraceptives, including the potential to worsen GI symptoms and thrombosis, also apply to implants, non copper IUD's and rings?
If using immunosuppressives is there an increased risk of PID if using an IUD?
