  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

Why is my clitoris sore and sensitive?

I notice that my clitoris is sore at times that I am not sexually active.

It is a concern at the moment but it has been troubling me for a while.

    Can someone tell me why?

Like any other part of the body the clitoris can become inflamed, sensitive, and irritated especially in the presence of infection. It can even be prone to allergies especially if highly perfumed body products are being used etc. Apart from an examination there is really no way of knowing what is going on. I suggest you see a GP with an interest/experience in Women’s sexual and reproductive health issues.
