    Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that your ultrasound scan gave you such a worrying result. Although it is not definite, a heart rate less than 100 beats per minute at this early stage is, sadly, associated with a high risk of subsequent miscarriage. The low heart rate is not reliable enough to diagnose a miscarriage, however, and it would be best to have a repeat ultrasound in one week.

I wish you all the best.
