Any ulcer like lesion in the mouth that doesn't heal up in about a week to 10 days needs to be checked out again. It may be OK and just healing slowly but in some cases what you think is an ulcer can be an infection draining from an infected tooth or even something nasty such as a early mouth cancer.Have it checked or maybe get a referral to a specialist!

A mouth ulcer does not normally respond to antibiotics. Saying that, using an antiseptic mouthwash to keep it clean, can help it to heal quicker.
If your "ulcer" was from infection, there may be more treatment needed. It might be time to go back to the dentist and discuss with them for clarity. Did they tell you it was an ulcer or is that your impression? Did the dentist need to take an x-ray of the nearby teeth?
As Dr Mumford said, ulcers usually heal within 1 to 2 weeks, so it might be best to get it checked again.
