  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

Can anyone explain potential causes and treatments of Enteropathic Arthritis?

I have been advised to see a Rheumatologist ASAP to verify the recent diagnosis of Enteropathis Arthritis and get treatment. As it takes so long to get a specialist appointment, I'm looking for any advice on how to manage this condition in the mean time. I'm not over weight and try to keep fit but am finding the pain, fatigue and severe reaction to many foods are making it difficult to keep up my exercise routines and function on a daily basis. Recent cortisone injections have only provided very short term relief. Mobic provides moderate pain relief but appears to exacerbate gut issues. Oral steroids caused severe gut reaction and had to be ceased.
