What community services can assist someone with type 1 diabetes and chronic leg ulcers?

    Hi there,
    .
With the issue being more chronic that acute your local community health service will have dietitian's and diabetes educators that can provide information re wound healing and diabetes managment.
If the diabetes is not well controlled, which is often easier said than done with type 1 diabetes, then wound healing is compromised.

Your local community health service would be the best place to start- if you are unsure if your area has a community health service the local council should be able to help you with this information.

Often communityhealth services will know of other services that would be appropriate if they are unable to help.
    Good Luck.
