Blood in the toilet bowl after using your bowels can be caused by a number of things.
It is important to have this assessed by a medical doctor in order to have the problem seen to, diagnosed and treated ASAP.
If your current doctor is away, see if you can make an appointment with another GP within the same clinic in order for them to access your current records and medical history.
Bleeding from the bowel can be caused by haemorrhoids resulting from straining, a possible bowel tumour/ cancer, polyps located within the bowel, anal fissures, or if you have eaten beetroot or consumed beetroot juice, this can cause your stool to look as though there is blood present.
This is why it is important to be assessed by a doctor in order for them to do a complete assessment in order to alleviate your concerns and to understand the possible causes.
