A couple of good alternatives for gluten and dairy free protein powders found in health food shops are alkalising golden pea protein(80% protein,18 amino acid profile, original, vanilla, chocolate, only additives are natural vanilla or cacao, natural sweetenerThaumatin), unflavoured rice protein(79%) or hemp protein*(49%).
Make up your own shake(avoids lots of additives found in some commercial shakes) with one of the above, 1/2water and 1/2 GF/DF milk alternative ricemilk, almond milk or non-acidic fresh juice like cloudy apple. Half water often preferred as not too thick and assists kidney function.
Optional great extra ingredients include chia seeds(22%), quinoa flakes(12%), maca/cacao blend(16% protein) or almond meal(20%), even organic brazil nut powder(45%) can further boost the protein content without gluten or dairy. Seasonal fruit gives a nutrient boost and variety of flavours to create new shake alternatives. A dash of real vanilla extract and/or sprinkle of cinnamon for flavour and to assist blood sugar regulation. Yum!
*Note: Hemp protein powder is available in stores in Australia/NZ, but legally requires a label ‘not for human consumption’ until officially approved.
Everyone has personal preferences and favourites, for starters give these a try!

Hi there,
The Healthy Chef (aka Teresa Cutter) has a good range of protein powders including her Pure Native WPI (Vanilla, natural or choc) or Organic Pea Protein (vanilla, natural or choc) found in some health food stores or directly from her website https://secure.thehealthychef.com/shop/product/pure-native-wpi-vanilla. All claim to be both gluten and lactose free (even the WPI is suitable for those with lactose intolerance - if you have a milk protein allergy though I would recommend you opt for the pea protein). She also has some delicious gluten and lactose free recipes on her website that you should look into!
Hope this helps and please let me know if you have any more questions
