I would suggest you contact a Registered Art Therapist and explore the idea of having art therapy sessions. Art Therapy and Art Psychotherapy have a proven track record in the Health Service in the United Kingdom, going back decades as an effective intervention for people who  live with psychosis. The setting and availability of art materials within a confidential and trusting relationship with an art therapist offers so much potential for individuals to improve their quality of life. There are numerous publications, such as “The Use of Art Work in Art Psychotherapy with People who are Prone to Psychotic States. An Evidence-based clinical practice guideline.” Brooker, Cullum, Gilroy, et all. Goldsmiths, University of London; “Art, Psychotherapy and Psychosis” Killick, Schaverien, (eds) Routledge, London and New York.
