Absolutely not. Every case is different and treatment for each case is then by virtue individualised for the patient. What is safe and will create an effective outcome for one patient will not necessarily by indicated for the next patient.

As Dr Williams noted, Chiropractors examine each patient and apply the most effective method of treatment to assist them in their recovery or goal.
Chiropractors are most well known for adjustments that can make a “click/pop/crack”. This is known as spinal manipulative therapy (SMT) for which chiropractors are the experts. This being said, SMT is only one of hundereds of chiropractic adjusting techniques available.
Techniques range from the traditional manipulation to slow passive adjustments that involve placing blocks/wedges under the pelvic bones.
The chiropractor will utilise a range of techniques and will often use multiple different types to assist you in gaining your improvements.

One side note to what Dr Hislop and what Dr Williams said. Their are numerous approaches and techniques. A chiropractic adjustment are specific to the patient. Even from visit to visit the technique may appear the same but often the vertebral (spine bone) will be different depending on where tension and joint fixation is located.

Adding to the great answers above, its also important to understand taht some chiropractors tend to specialize in different areas of health as well. Some chiropractors specialize in areas such as neurology, pediatrics, sport performance and injury management, work place injuries, general family care, wellness care. These are a few of the specialties. Within these specialties chiropractors will utilize different techniques for analysis and treatment. This may range from adjustments to nutritional advice to exercise and more.
In addition to this I have found patients will often have a “pattern” of weaknesses and so these patterns can often come back from time to time and this is where maintenance care and exercise can keep this weaknesses from turning into major problems.
