Exercise Physiologist, Pilates Instructor
The short answer is no. You should follow a diet based on the specifcs ofyour condition and what you are trying to acheive. If you have a chronic disease that requires a strict diet then yes you should stick to it but that should be determined by your GP and Dietitian, your EP will adjust the exercise according to your condition. The scope of practice for an EP does not include prescribing dietetic advice so unless an EP has further qualifications you should seek out a Dietitian to help you with you goals.
