Hi there
I have had a life long struggle with depression and anxiety coupled with chronic health conditions such a Type I Diabetes and aortic regurditation (leaky valves). I had been taken antidepressants for 17 years until recently. I started a TAFE music program where we learned to play a musical instrument and sing and write songs. It was the most successful therapy I have ever participated in. I have been to several therapists and workshops which have all been very useful but doing the music program helped me to self heal through the confidence and esteem I gained from little weekly successes. I recently wrote a song which my lecturer organised to get recorded a few weeks ago. The song is called voices, it is a metaphor for the way we just don't cut ourselves enough slack and spend a lot of our energy persecuting ourselves for what we think we should be doing. I no longer take antidepressants. I would like to share my song with you
