    Lamictal causing bad depression?

Diagnosed with depression, anxiety, ED, self harm and cannabis abuse since 2009. Tried various medication with effexor 225mg being the best. Started to wear off about 2 years later (now) and was added on seroquel xr 100mg a month ago. Added lamictal 25mg 2 weeks ago. Since the lamictal was added feel even more tired and unmotivated every day. Also severe depression out of the blue on 1/3 days, like a black hole swallowing you up again and suicidal thoughts (will not act on them but they still scare you). Also my therapist whom I trust is leaving so wondering if that is contributing. But can this be due to lamictal? Been told to keep being on it and wait and see but some days are just too horrible.

Typically psych meds take a while (weeks - months) to kick in fully so maybe wait for a while with the Lamictal and see if it helps you.

As far as your suicidal ideation is concerned, I *for sure* think that you should discuss this with your prescribing doctor.
