  • Q&A with Australian Health Practitioners

Are any diabetes clinics supporting patients' use of smartphones?

A group of researchers is interested to look at how increasing use of smart phones / smart devices is changing data flows, information flows and work flows in healthcare.

We would like to find out more about this, in a centre of diabetes patient management. We would like to speak with clinic administrators, or clinicians, or patients about how smartphones are being used in their clinic.

If you know of any diabetes clinics that might be supporting patients' using of smartphones to manage their health please contact us for an informal, confidential chat at a time convenient for you. No data will be collected for research purposes at this stage.

Depending on the client and their ability to use a smart phone, there has been an increase and the convenience of use, throughout the clinics that I am associated with.
