Growing up my parents were both smokers and then I married a heavy smoker, so I have been subjected to passive smoke all my life. I started to notice a shortness in breath lately and got concerned so i saw my GP and then a respiratory specialist. I have now have a mild forms of emphysema. There is so much information out there about the dangers of smoking and developing lung disease, what about the poor bystanders subjected to passive smoking? Today parents should not be allowed to smoke in the house by law. I get outraged when i see parents smoking inside cars with kids or on top of their kids. I only have to look at my circumstance as an example of the impact of passive smoking.
