    You can make an argument that taking pills three times a week means that you already are addicted! Without more details it's hard to make a concrete statement on this question. But one way of answering the question yourself is to stop the medication for a month and see what happens.

    In general terms sleeping without medications would be regarded as preferable. Needing tablets for sleep also in general argues that there may be something imbalanced in your life such as in adequate bright light exposure, stress relief, and exercise.
