    Is there something in Sydney that I'm allergic to that isn't in Perth?

    I recently moved from Perth to Sydney. In Perth I had the problem of a constantly blocked nose - my mother thought it was adnoids but it was something else that started with a B. I was put on Beconase orange and that unblocked my nose and allowed me to breathe normally.

    I've been in Sydney nearly three months and haven't stopped sneezing and I've had an almost constantly-runny nose (I get maybe 2 hours relief each day which is rather random). Everybody thinks I'm sick, but aside from the incredibly runny nose (if I don't have a tissue in my hand at all times I risk snot running out of my nose) I feel absolutely healthy! My throat isn't sore, my head isn't stuffy and I am pretty fit.

    I haven't changed my diet although I am doing less exercise (full time work has meant I've had to scale back what I was previously doing)
    I am using a nose-blocking nose spray but then I can't breathe through my nose at all!

    Although you probably are somewhat allergic to something in the Sydney air, your blocked nose issue is best assessed and diagnosed properly by a specialist. 

    You could have some skin prick allergy tests first but ultimately results can be non-specific and avoiding certain allergens in the air could be impossible. Use regular saline flushes, try some nasal steroid sprays - if these dont help seek specialist advise as there could be a structural cause to your breathing issues.
