Bleeding during/after sex... could this be an STD?

I noticed recently that I begin bleeding quite heavily in the middle of having sex but it stops almost immediately after… my friend said this could be a sign of chlamydia. Is this true?

There are several causes of post coital bleeding (bleeding after sex). While Chlamydia may present with post coital bleeding, most frequent symptoms of Chlamydia are vaginal discharge, urinary frequency, urgency and dysuria, irregular menstrual bleeding, painful sex etc.
Most likely causes of post coital bleeding are:
    1.Cervical Ectropion
    2.Cervical polyp
    3.Cervicitis
4.But the most serious cause of the post coital bleeding is Cervical Cancer.
Your local doctor would be able to perform first assessment including a PAP smear and then may refer you to an Gynaecologist for further testing.
    Hope this answers your question.
