Woke up with a swollen watery eye?

Two days ago I woke up and my eye was swollen and watery. I am also sensitive to light now. I put an ice pack on it but it hasn't gone down. I thought perhaps it could be conjunctivitis but I don't know? What could this be? What could have caused this?
