    What is the best way to wean a child off losec?

    First you have to make sure you have identified if there is a food intolerance: in most cases of little children with reflux this will be the case: the most common ones are dairy, egg, wheat, salicylates. Once that is identified you can slowly reduce losec whilst giving a natural remedy - homeopathic remedies are ideal for this situation, as long as they are appropriately chosen, since they don't cause side effects. In the absence of this, try a little drink of ginger root - infused like tea, mixed with a little chamomille - that is helpful for some children.
