    there are 3 types of detachment types.
    1,RRD,symptoms include flashes of light,shadows and floaters in your field of vision.
    2.ERD,due to it more severe nature this exudative detachment will result in larger field loss like seeing only half a persons face ,or not seeing up at a tree or down at your feet.
    3.TRD,this is where the retina is pulled of bya membrane at the back of the eye as in diabetes,retinal tear from trauma or pre retinal membrane which contract and lift of the retina.
    ALL these are serious and need prompt inspection by an optometrist or eye surgeon
