Gastric (stomach) cancer can cause various symptoms. It is important to remember that the below symptoms don't mean that a gastric cancer is present; also, not having any of these symptoms doesn't eliminate the possibility of having a cancer.
Symptoms and signs that can accompany gastric cancer can include:
- “Early satiety” - feeling full after a smaller meal than expected
- Vomiting
- Weight loss
- Swelling of the abdomen (belly)
- Anaemia
- Vomiting blood
- Black or blood-stained bowel actions
- A mass or fullness in the abdomen
- Nodules in the belly button or the left side of the neck
- Stomach (or duodenal) ulcers that fail to heal
