Hello, the best place to start when looking for support and/or treatment services for a gambling addiction is your General Practitioner. They will be able to conduct a preliminary assessment and then refer on to a gambling specific service or practitioner with experience in treating gambling addictions (e.g. psychologist). From that point, a more thorough assessment would be used to begin treatment planning. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which tries to change the thoughts and behaviours that contribute to gambling, is the most effective treatment currently available.
