Put simply, you can't. Most sinus infections come from a general viral upper respiratory tract infection which may then become a bacterial sinusitis. Using regular saline flushes or sprays, or topical steroid sprays may help lessen the frequency or severity of infection, but cant "prevent".
If you are having frequent sinus symptoms you need evaluation by an ENT specialist to ensure you dont have an underlying anatomical propensity to getting sinus infections. A deviated septum or nasal polyps are just some examples which could predispose you to sinus infections or sinus obstruction. Here an operation may help if this is determined to be the cause.
