About 30% of people with psoriasis can identify other family members who have psoriasis. Psoriasis is inherited as a complex polygenic disease. That means that it runs in families and the more family members affected by psoriasis the greater your risk of developing psoriasis.
We are currently recruiting parients with moderate to severe psoriasis for clinical research trials with new biologic treatment agents. If you have moderate to severe psoriasis, live in or close to Melbourne, and would be interested in participating in research to develop new treatments for psoriasis please contact our research nurse Sr Sharon Temby on 96542426.
