If I skipped my period, does it necessarily mean I'm pregnant?

I am an 18 year old female with a fairly regular menstrual cycle. It has been six days since I should have gotten my period and I am worried. Am I pregnant?

Not necessarily. But you will need to get a pregnancy test to check.

Women will have menstrual irregularity from time to time because of a variety of reasons. It can be due to hormonal conditions, other health issues, increased stress, etc. Often the case is not identified. If it persists as a problem you should see your doctor.

If you are having unprotected sex then there is the real danger of pregnancy and you will need appropriate contraception.
