dear tanya
i can understand how you feel and no you arent silly your gp is silly for not understanding i think you should see another gp or counseller to help you deal with it a little better even if it takes the edge of a bit and maybe they might have some stratgies to help you get through the rough three days you have , as for your job some places dont understand and sometimes its to personal to explain but you need to put yourself first , i have same issues however i am on the pill and medication for depression but i find that week of having my period is the hardest because your emotions are over the place sometimes leading up to it the week of or even after i find .hard , hang in there take care

What you are saying is not silly at all! Please read the link above from a very well regarded organisation in Melbourne. There is definately a link between fluctuating oestrogen levels just before a period and mood. Taking the pill is listed as one way to manage this.
