It is difficult to predict the most fertile time in the cycle when periods are irregular. However, you can check for signs of ovulation including increased mucous, vaginal discharge becoming clear and slippery and a slight temperature rise can occur. If your periods are very infrequent it is possible that ovulation is affected. You can talk to your GP about ovulatory tests.
