I am 35 and have astigmatisms in both eyes and have only had glasses for the last two years

I am 35 and have stigmatisms in both eyes and have only had glasses for the last two years. last week I had my eyes tested as my eyes are tiring very easily especially on the computer. The optom said that my perscription is fine but my optic nerve has thinned a little and that we should do a  field test to see what I see, the field test noted a defect in the same eye that is thinning. The optom suggested  we should do another  feild test in 6 months tio see if theres any change. I asked him what causes thinning of the nerve and he said a number of things maybe Glaucoma now I am worried after looking at what glaucoma is that I shouldnt wait for 6 months??? Any suggestions..

Hi Tammara, this is a question to be discussed with the eye health professional (in this case your optometrist) who has checked your optic nerve. If there is evidence of damage ask why they want to wait and judge your response from there. best wishes.
