Lifeline is a national charity delivering 24/7 crisis support and suicide prevention services to all Australians.
Lifeline connects people to a broad range of national services through our telephone crisis line (13 11 14), online Crisis Support Chat service and local face-to-face services through local Lifeline Centres.
Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44 (ABS, Causes of Death 2012). There is a new call to Lifeline every minute, and each day, almost seven people die from suicide in Australia.
The realisation of our vision, ‘An Australia free of suicide’, relies on the dedication and commitment of thousands of volunteers across Australia.
